We, Mr. Vijayakumar and Mrs. Gowri Vijayakumar are the founders of “Vigosutha” – The Garment Exporter. Finding each other in 2001 and coming from humble origins, we have relied on our work ethic and integrity to cement ourselves as strong players in the local garment industry. We have followed different paths to equip ourselves with the right skill set to achieve success in this space. While Mr. Vijayakumar completed engineering and focused on the factory fundamentals, Mrs. Gowri completed Masters in Fashion Designing to add complimenting skills to the business from a quality perspective.
Vigosutha was founded primarily as a garment buying house in 2008 on a small scale, operating out of rented premises with two employees. The organization went through a typical start up life cycle with capital crunches, customer acquisition/retention challenges, and brand building. The fact that the company has grown to 120 employees with international client base is a testament to the customer and quality centric focus that is built into the firm’s DNA.
Vigosutha’s success belongs to our customers as much as it belongs to us. Our clients particularly appreciate our timely, dedicated and honest communications. We have struggled to establish credibility and gain their trust and are ever-vigilant not to get complacent.
